If you can think and act quickly under pressure and still have fun, we invite you to take part in any of our game shows (contests) during your stay at Otakuthon. Our game shows test your luck, knowledge and even your physical capabilities. Impress everyone with whatever you’ve got to win some Otaku Yen to exchange for a prize at our prize table located in the Game Shows room.

Otaku Yen prize system

Game shows winners will receive Otaku Yen which can be traded in for prizes at the prize table located in the Game Shows room. The amount of Otaku Yen received will be determined by the level of difficulty of the game show. Every winner is guaranteed to receive enough Otaku Yen for a prize!

Karaoke

Calling all karaoke lovers!

Otakuthon offers several free karaoke hour blocks as part of the Cosplay Cafe programming. A fully equipped mini-stage is available for participants who want to have fun and take on the challenge of singing in front of their fellow con-goers! A catalog of songs is available on site with a large number of popular J-Pop, K-Pop, and anime theme songs to choose from. There is a continued effort to keep the repertoire up to date with the latest hits, so you can also help fill it up by suggesting your favourite songs by writing to the Cosplay Cafe team at cosplaycafe@otakuthon.com.

You’re a singing star! So come shine with all you’ve got on the karaoke stage!

than just mangas? We also have a beautiful and growing collection of manhwas, manhuas and webtoons.
Chibi section: a section of Japanese childrens' books for readers aged three and up! There are also mangas available for children
under 12 years old. For any readings not categorized as children's literature, a legal guardian's authorization is mandatory.
18+ section: are you looking for spicier readings? We now have a section specializing in yuri, yaoi and hentai. To access it, you will have to present a valid photo ID showing you are 18 years of age or older.
Panels
Sit in on a panel to learn something new and/or discuss your thoughts on a topic with other like-minded people. There will be panels covering a range of topics, from anime to video games to cosplay, and many more.
Video Rooms

It wouldn't be an anime convention if there weren't any good anime to watch. Our video rooms are a great place to sit back and relax while checking out the latest and greatest anime from Japan - from old favourites to the latest releases, from the popular to the obscure. It's almost guaranteed that you will enjoy or discover some great anime in our Video Rooms.

Video tracks are presented in Japanese with English or French subtitles, or English dubbed. Please consult the Video Room schedules to find out which titles are presented in which language.

Workshops
There will be several workshops where volunteers and guest hosts will demonstrate various arts and techniques for the duration of the convention. People are then invited to try these techniques on their own for some hands-on experience. Artistic discovery, Japanese language learning, martial arts demos and all kinds of other workshops presented by professionals are also offered.
