Sparkle on the Ceremonies Stage at Otakuthon 2026!
Are you ready to help kick off or wrap up Otakuthon 2026 with unforgettable energy? This is your chance to perform in our Opening or Closing Ceremonies, two of the most iconic moments of the entire convention!
We’re searching for passionate performers who can bring excitement, emotion, and creativity to thousands of attendees. We want to see what you can bring to the Otakuthon stage. If you’ve ever dreamed of performing in front of a massive, enthusiastic otaku crowd, this is your moment to shine.
Please note that we are looking for performances that specifically celebrate different aspects of Japanese culture.
Audition Period
How to Apply
It’s simple!
Complete our online registration form
Audition videos must be a snippet of your proposed performance.
Audition videos must be between one (1) minute to five (5) minutes.
Our team will carefully review all submissions. Selected performers will be contacted by May 1, 2026, with further details.
Rules & Guidelines
Acts may include one (1) to fifteen (15) performers.
We welcome a variety of performing styles.
Performers are responsible for their own costumes, props, and materials.
Due to technical limitations, full bands may not be possible; email events@otakuthon.com for inquiries.
Participants must be at least sixteen (16) years old at the event.
Performances must be family‑friendly and free of nudity.
Audition videos must be unaltered except for basic cropping at the beginning and/or at the end of the video.
Selected performers must be available three (3) hours before their ceremony for staging and technical preparation. For the opening ceremonies, this means an early morning.
Performances must not exceed five (5) minutes.
