Otakuthon welcomes members of the press and content creators who wish to cover the 21st edition of our convention.
Each year, Otakuthon offers free badges to members of the press or content creators who wish to cover Otakuthon and share their experience of the event with their audience. Depending on the case, badges may be for a specific day or for multiple days.
Requests for interviews with our spokespersons can be made at any time by contacting our team.

Activities eligible for press accreditation
Television
Radio
Internet (please specify the details of your planned media coverage and attach examples of topics if you have been accredited in previous years). Publications or websites must have been active without interruption for the past two years.
Journalist (upon presentation of a press card or professional proof, letter from the editor-in-chief of the agency or media outlet. Specify the details of the planned media coverage)
Content creators with significant reach in the world of anime, manga, and Japanese popular culture.
Press organizations or content creators who have participated in our convention in previous years must submit their coverage.
If this is your first time participating, you must be able to provide other examples of relevant coverage or content.
Media badges will not be granted to cosplay photographers or photo gallery websites.
Media badges cannot be mailed and must be picked up on site during media office hours.
Accreditation requests must be made before June 30, 2026.
Media badge privileges include:
Reserved seating for certain main events, subject to availability. Reserved seating is assigned upon request or by invitation only.
Consideration for interviews with guests of honour, subject to availability.
The number of media passes distributed is limited. Meeting the specified criteria does not guarantee that you will receive a media pass for Otakuthon 2026.
We ask that you wait for the decision of our media committee, which will be communicated to you by email.
Onsite Accreditation
For journalists wishing to obtain accreditation onsite, only those with a valid press card can obtain accreditation by going to the convention's media desk.
No web media will be accredited onsite.

Location: Media Registration desk (metro level in the registration area, near the elevator)
Hours:
Friday: 9:30 to 18.00
Saturday: 9:30 to 12:30
Sunday: 9:30 to 12:30
Requirements: Please bring a valid government-issued photo ID to collect your media badge.
