Cosplay Meetups Rules
How can I find them?

Otakuthon does not organize Cosplay Meetups and is not responsible for them. For all questions, please contact the organizers.

One person (could be even two or three people) is responsible for their cosplay group.

Gatherings last no more than one hour (60 minutes). We recommend 45 minutes for taking photos, with 5 to 10 minutes at the beginning to gather as many cosplayers and photographers as possible, and then leave the gathering place 5 minutes before the end of your hour to make way for the next group.

It is forbidden to hold a participant or make requests that could jeopardize the safety of others for a photo (example: running up the stairs).

If a group causes traffic problems, staff members can ask you to move.

Organizers who violate the rules of the meetup may be denied the right to reschedule Cosplay Meetups at future Otakuthon editions.

Cosplay is not consent! Unsolicited or unwanted advances and/or physical contact will NOT be tolerated. Please report any harassment to staff members or security.

If you would like to report an issue that occurred during a Cosplay Meetup, please email us at cosplaymeetups@otakuthon.com after Otakuthon, or see a staff member for immediate assistance.
*Staff members reserve the right to cancel the gathering and ask you to move at any time.*
