The Video Game Hall is bringing back your old favourites! multiple stations serving as platforms for games from both North America & Japan, various video game events such as tournaments honouring retro game favourites, as well as several LAN PC stations that will be available for competitive play!

Whether you're new to video gaming or have been playing games for years, there's something for everyone at Otakuthon's Video Game Hall!



Attendees are encouraged to Bring-Your-Own-Accessories. PC Peripherals, Controllers, Headphones & Handheld chargers. This will make things easier for everyone.

* Personal Mice & Keyboards are only allowed during LAN Tournaments.



Are you one of the very best at your favourite game? Looking to challenge tough opponents to sharpen and hone your skills? Or maybe you just like being competitive?

Whatever the reason, come and register for any of our tournaments and put your skills to the test! Players will be showing off their skills in different genres, such as RTS, FPS, fighting, rhythm, dōjins, and more! Don't forget to have fun, and may the best player win!




Otakuthon will once again have a variety of rhythm games for those of you who enjoy playing with music or are curious and want to try something new. Our team will be present to help you understand the core mechanics of the games. No need to sweat! (Well, maybe just a little!)




Come to PC gaming with your friends to enjoy our games in a freeplay session. Show your skills in various games, including League of Legends, and dominate the competition! Check out the schedule beforehand and register with your teammates to participate in one of the many daily tournaments and if you come out on top, you can claim some sweet loot in the prize room.

The Montreal PKMN League is coming back for its 8th year at Otakuthon!

Battle our gym leaders for free and earn a new set of 18 badges featuring art of some of your favorite Pokémon cosplaying as popular anime, video game and pop culture characters! Gym Leaders will be rotating shifts throughout the weekend, so visit them regularly to collect the whole set, which will be available exclusively at Otakuthon 2023. Bring your Nintendo Switch with Pokémon Scarlet or Violet to challenge us in 3v3 Single Battles. If you don't have your own game, a free rental will be available with Pokémon teams ready for battle.

The Montreal Airdashers are a grassroots fighting game community. Montreal Airdashers has been running events and fostering a welcoming community of fighting game players from casuals to professionals since 2009! A lot of our original crew met at Otakuthon and we've grown ever since! Come discover and experience our collection of “traditional” fighting games! Up for a challenge? Join the competitions and win prizes for FREE!

Bringing your own controllers is encouraged but we have some spare equipment. Most games will be played on the Playstation 4.

Pump It Up - Quebec Four Seasons


Pump It Up is a 5-panel arcade dance game made by Andamiro. Those who are familiar with Dance Dance Revolution may find that its gameplay involves a different set of skills, focusing on passing the highest levels of charts by pushing both the reading and physical abilities of players.
