East2West, a local performance group, has been combining their passion for performance and Eastern culture by bringing high-quality dancing and singing performances (often to Korean Pop) and exposing the Western world to Asia’s pop culture. Otakuthon veterans, East2West has collaborated with Otakuthon for 3 years, performing dance and singing covers of popular J-Pop songs. This year, taking the stage with their own featured show, East2West kicks off Otakuthon with performances that share the electric energy of Asia’s hottest pop groups, such as BoA, Daichi Miura, Da-iCE, Perfume, and even K-Pop groups like BTS, GOT7 and SNSD. East2West: BAKA-it is the perfect way to get into the Otakuthon spirit with great dancing, singing, as well as fun anime-inspired skits! Bring your friends, your best dance moves, and a lot of energy and get ready for a J-Pop experience unlike anything you’ve experienced!

This show will provide new fans an entry point to get an authentic experience with Asian pop culture and invite current fans to watch their favourite songs, bands, and choreographies on stage.
